Top 3 Goals

My top 3 goals when I am in Italy:

1. Immerse myself in the culture, customs, people, and food.
I'm thinking of gelato, pizza, pasta, cheese, and polenta.
I want to experience the feeling of living in an authentic Italian community and home.
I want to see the way people speak, how they interact, what makes up their lives.

2. Have an academic experience that is enriching.
I will be working in an art museum for my internship, and hope to also see other great museums and works of art and architecture in my travels.
I especially want to become more fluent in the Italian language so that I can speak without translating everything in my head.

3. Experience the landscapes and beautiful scenery across Italy.
I just want to feel what it feels like to be in Italy. From my international experience I have learned that every country and place has its own atmosphere. I want to just let it sink in.
I'm hoping that I can buy a nice camera so that I can take beautiful pictures of the landscapes of Italy. The seascapes, tuscan vineyards, cities, small villages, and people.
